INTERMEDIATE/MEDIUM-TERM DEBT
A fixed income security with a maturity between 3 years and 10 years. Bonds and other fixed income products are categorized by maturity date for it is the most vital variable in computing yield. In a standard or positive yield curve, these bonds pay higher yield for a certain credit quality than short-term bonds, but a lower yield as compared to long-term bonds.
