INVESTMENT BANKER
An individual in a financial institution that works primarily to raise capital for corporations, governments, and other entities or in a huge bank’s division that is engaged with such activities. They can also render other services to their clients such as mergers and acquisition advice or give advice on specific transactions including reorganization or spin-off. For smaller companies that do not have an investment banking arm, corporate finance staff may fulfill the responsibilities of investment bankers.
