INWARD ARBITRAGE
A simultaneous cash arrangement by a bank that involves borrowing cash from the interbank market and the same cash is then deposited again locally at a higher interest rate. The bank will generate money on the spread between the interest rate on the domestic currency, as well as the rate on the borrowed currency. The goal of this arbitrage is to create a riskless profit on the excess cash yielded from the interest rates.
