IRS PUBLICATION 552 - RECORDKEEPING FOR INDIVIDUALS
A document that explains which documents should be kept on file and for how long, for filing taxes. Published by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), it suggests keeping accurate records to determine sources of income, monitor expenses, and back up information stated in the tax return. It does not explain the manner of record keeping.
