A huge provider of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that is managed by investment management company BlackRock. A trademarked brand, it started trading in the United States and the United Kingdom in 2000. iShares is listed in major exchanges such as the NYSE Euronext, NYSE Arca, Chicago Board Options Exchange, and Nasdaq. iShares, Inc. represents 46% of the US ETF market with more than 440 funds and excesses of $480 billion in assets under management.
