JESSE L. LIVERMORE
An American stock trader who rose from a humble farming background. Throughout his trading career, Livermore was known for winning and losing several trades, as well as short selling especially during the stock market crashes in 1907 and 1929. He had no formal education or trading experience. But this self-made man focused on making money from the overall market directions, not on individual stocks.
