JOD
Currency abbreviation or symbol of Jordanian dinar, the official currency of Jordan. The dinar is comprised of 10 dirham, 100 qirsh, or 1,000 fils. The currency has no official symbol but presented with the informal notation JD. This is also circulated on Israel’s West Bank. Jordan dinar was first used in 1949.
