JOHN A. ALLISON IV
An American businessman, and chairman and former Chief Executive Officer of BB&T Corporation, a financial holding company based in North Carolina. He was with the corporation from 1989 to 2008. Allison was best known for escalating the bank’s assets, making BB&T Corp. one of the biggest banks in the United States. At present, he is the President and CEO of Cato Institute.
