JOHN T. DILLON
Former President, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of International Paper Co., a plywood, paper, pulp, packaging and chemical firm. Dillon joined the company in 1965 as a sales trainee. He worked his way up in the next 30 years and held several significant positions in the firm. During his tenure, Dillon helped turn the company into a huge multinational corporation, bringing it through two mergers and a key acquisition to raise its market share. But the industry was hugely affected during the recession which started in 2001.
