JOSÉ DUTRA
Former President and Chief Executive Officer of Petrobrás, a Brazilian oil company. In 1979, Dutra earned his degree in geology from the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro. After a year, he started his 15-year career as geologist by working at Geologia Sondangens and Petrobrás Mineradora. Then, Dutra became part of Companhia Vale do Rio Doce. He also spent eight years as a senator in the Brazilian government before assuming the top post in Petrobrás.
