JOSEF ACKERMANN

A Swiss banker, and former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank. He was also a member of Group of Thirty, an influential financial advisory body based in Washington. At first, he was encouraged to take both academic and military careers. But in 1977, he started his career as a corporate banker with Credit Suisse. During his tenure in Deutsche Bank, he introduced new shareholder-focused management style, assisted the company proliferate internationally, and elevated its direction on investment banking.
