An outsourcing of core information-related business activities that is carried out by a different company or subsidiary of the same organization. It plays a vital role in forming an integral part of a company’s value chain. Subsidiaries may be in the same country or in another location to cut on costs or other resources. In order to advance in the competition, KPO should have the required analytical and technical skills, as well as a high degree of specialist expertise. Unlike manufacturing outsourcing, it usually involves high-value work from highly-skilled staff.
