LAST FISCAL YEAR - LFY

A company’s most recent 12-month accounting cycle to determine its yearly financial performance. It doesn’t follow that a fiscal year always begin in January and end in December. The Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) requires businesses to list down the revenue of its last fiscal year aside from its other financial figures when the companies file the Form 10-Q.

Management and financial analysts use the data from a company’s last fiscal year to forecast if the firm’s current performance will surpass that of the previous fiscal year.
