LENDING FREEZE
A period when banks need to be protected from further losses, either they do not have excess fund to loan or to implement strict rules on loan qualification in order to approve less lending. The bank’s protective measure ensures they do not run out of capital or exhibit themselves to increased risk. Borrowers have less access to loans, hence enabling them not to secure a mortgage, an automobile, or a business loan that can hugely impact hiring and expansion.
