LIBOR FLAT
A benchmark interest rate used to set the floating interest rate paid on the notional principal in an interest-rate swap. The flat has no added spread to it and reflects the best interest rate obtainable in the present market. LIBOR flat is considered the most common reference by which other interest rates are based.
