LIQUIDITY CUSHION
A reserve fund created for an individual or company that consists of highly-liquid investments. The liquidity cushion of an individual or a business has an ample amount of money or other highly liquid assets. It enables the account holder to fulfill short-term liquidity inadequacies to meet unexpected event without selling securities or other investment instruments quickly, in order to avoid disastrous consequences.
