LIQUIDITY PREMIUM
The premium demanded by investors when any security cannot be easily converted into cash but converted at the fair market value. When the liquidity premium escalates, the asset is illiquid, which leads to decrease in prices and increase in interest rates. Thus, the trader will require a better return to recoup the risks.
