LITTLE BOARD
Slang term or nickname for American Stock Exchange, but can also denote any other exchange that is not the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Originally, it used to refer to New York Consolidated Stock Petroleum Exchange that was closed in 1920s. The term stemmed from "big board" that describes NYSE.
