LITIGATION RISK
A legal action that can be taken against an individual or a corporation because of its actions, inactions, products, services, or other similar events. It provides analysis and management in order to determine key areas where litigation risk is high, hence, it will take appropriate actions to limit or eliminate the risks. Huge companies with deep pockets are most prone to litigation risks because rewards for any plaintiffs can be significant.
