LOAN-TO-DEPOSIT RATIO - LTD
A commonly used ratio, expressed in percentage, in determining the bank’s liquidity by dividing the bank’s total loan amounts by its total amount of deposits. If the LTD is too high, the banks might not have sufficient liquidity to cover any unanticipated fund requirements. But if the ratio is too low, the banks may not be earning enough.
