LOMBARD RATE
The interest rate charged to banks by Deutsche Bundesbank, Germany’s central bank, for collateralized loan obligations that is used as upper limit daily money rates. It is mostly applied in international equities not so much US equities or equities from other countries. The term pertains to the initial medieval bankers from the Italian Lombard region who were originally Germans.
