LONG-TERM LIABILITIES
A section in the balance sheet that enumerates the company’s obligations that are due for more than one year. Listed in the firm’s balance sheet, it include items such as debentures, deferred tax liabilities, loans, and pension obligations. Long-term liabilities that are due in the next 12 months are placed under present liabilities like the present portion of long-term debt.
