Measuring money supply that sums up all the physical currency (notes and coins) that is circulating in the economy and the bank reserves held with the central bank. This is considered the most liquid measurement of a money supply for it only includes cash or assets that is easily converted into currency. Also known as narrow money in the United Kingdom.
