MANAGED FUTURES
An alternative strategy whereas portfolio managers to use futures contracts as part of the overall investment strategy. It provides portfolio diversification among several investment styles and asset classes to aid in alleviating risks, which is not possible in direct equity investments. Money managers, also known as commodity trading advisors, usually monitor managed futures accounts.
