MANAGEMENT BUY-IN - MBI
A corporate action, done by an outside manager or management team, of purchasing an ownership stake in the first company and replacing the existing management team with their own. This occurs when a company appears undervalued, has a poor management team, or who wants to change its strategy and/or capital infusion, with the belief its products can yield greater profits.
