MANUFACTURING CELLS
Sets of machines in a production plant, which is designed to group products or parts in a lean manufacturing environment. It is different from the traditional functional manufacturing system where all machines are grouped together in the cellular manufacturing concept. This is used to promote quality in production and performance and for batch production of products or goods, even in small volumes.
