MARGINAL PROPENSITY TO CONSUME - MPC
Component of Keynesian theory; proportion of the total raise in pay which is spent on goods and services, instead of being saved. To get MPC, divide the change in the consumption by the incremental change in disposable income that caused the consumption change.
