MARKET STRATEGIST
A financial professional who makes investment recommendations about what will happen in the market in order to guide people in making profitable investment decisions. Using the available financial and economic data, market strategists attempt to envision everything from future stock performances, federal funds rate, return on 10-year Treasuries, and which economic sectors will have the best and worst performance for the given year. American financial theorist William J. Bernstein noted in his book, The Four Pillars of Investing, that market strategists have historically been mistaken about 77% of the time.
