MARKET-WITH-PROTECTION ORDER
A market order that is cancelled but resubmitted as a limit order in the event of a drastic movement of the asset price. The limit is placed around the present market price, as determined by a dealer. It is a protective measure, which ensures that the investor’s market order will be completed at the established market price.
