MEETING OF THE MINDS
A manifestation of an assent or agreement between parties by which every party is aware of the commitments being made by every individual. Also called consensus ad idem, it is associated with contract law and is essential for the existence of the contract. If both parties in an agreement commit a mistake in the contract's creation, and may thus agree to perform actions other than what both anticipated, there won’t be meeting of the minds.
