MENU COSTS
An economic term used to denote the fees incurred by businesses in updating its menu or price sheet. How expensive it is to change prices depends on the type of company. For instance, it may be needed to reprint menus, update price lists or retag merchandise on its shelf. Even when there are less expenses to changing prices, it may make customers apprehensive about purchasing at a certain price, which results in a menu cost of lost sales.
