MINIMUM INVESTMENT
The least amount of money or share quantity an investor can buy when investing in specific investment vehicles. Often seen in mutual funds, these are also constantly found in the following: fixed-income securities hedge funds, collateralized mortgage obligations, and limited partnerships where $1,000 units is usually the least cut allowed.
