MÁRCIO A. CYPRIANO
Former Chief Executive Officer of Banco Bradesco, one of the largest private banks in Brazil. His banking career started in 1967 as a clerk in Banco da Bahia. The financial institution merged with Bradesco in 1973. After the merge, he became the branch manager the same year. In the same institution, he was appointed as a Departmental Officer in 1984; Deputy Managing Officer in 1986; Managing Officer, 1988; Vice President, 1995 until he became the CEO from 2002 until 2009. After vacating the CEO post, he remains a board member, which he held since 2002. During his tenure, he made Bradesco the first bank in Latin America to offer online banking services, acquired Banco Mercantil de Sao Paolo, and made it more remunerative.
