MULTIPLE
A relative valuation metric used to evaluate some aspect of a company's financial well-being, which is assessed by dividing one metric by another. The metric in the numerator is usually larger than the one in denominator, because the top metric is normally many times greater than the bottom metric.
Computed as: Multiple = Performance Metric A / Performance Metric B
