NAPFA
A U.S.-based professional organization for professional financial advisors that was formed in 1983. It requires its affiliates to follow the organization’s code of ethics and take a yearly fiduciary oath. Members should provide independent, objective financial recommendation to their clients and uphold the highest standards in the financial planning profession. They must earn their income from fees, not through commissions.
