QUARTER - Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4
A quarter pertains to one-fourth of a year. Each quarter is a three-month period on a financial calendar where reporting of earnings and paying of dividends happens. First quarter or Q1 is from January to March, Q2 is from April to June, Q3 is from July to September, and Q4 is from October to December.
