REGISTERED RETIREMENT INCOME FUND - RRIF
This retirement fund is similar to an annuity contract that pays income to beneficiaries. RSP holders usually roll over their RRSPs into an RRIF to fund their retirement. A company or organization that holds the RRIF is known as the plan’s carrier. Carriers may be banks or insurance companies.
