SEASONAL ADJUSTMENT
Seasonal Adjustment is a statistical method. It was designed to straighten or even out periodic swings in statistics and the movements in supply and demand to accommodate the changing seasons. The purpose of seasonal adjustments is to give a better or more certain view of non-seasonal changes that are shrouded by seasonal data differences.
