SEC FORM N-8A
SEC Form N-8A is also referred to as the Notification of Registration Filed Pursuant to Section 8(a) of the Investment Company Act of 1940. This means that SEC Form N-8A is a filing to be submitted by investment companies that intend to register under and in accordance with Section 8(a) of the Investment Company Act of 1940. The data gathered under SEC Form N-8A include the type of investment company, the availability to the public of the securities, total current value of the assets, the status of application of the registrant for a license to operate as a small business investment company under the Small Business Investment Act of 1958, and a copy of the last periodic report to the securityholder of the registrant.
