SEGMENT
Segment is revenue-generating and cost-operating part or component of a business. The activities within a segment must be documented with attention to financial information. The performance of the segment is also to be scrutinized and reviewed periodically by the management prior to any decisions that involve the budget of a segment for its operating period.
