SENIOR ISSUE
Senior Issue is an issue of stocks, bonds, or any other kind of security that have the first priority lien on the earnings and assets of the issuer. Senior issue, therefore, claim higher priority rights on a company’s interest payments and dividends. In the case of bankruptcy, the senior issue have higher claim on the value salvaged from the liquidation.
