Series 7 is an examination under the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to be entitled to sell any type of securities product excluding commodities and futures. Series 7 was made to challenge the knowledge of test takers regarding investment risk, taxation, packaged securities, options, equity and debt instruments, etc.
