SLOW LOAN
Slow loan is a loan that as it is named, slow to the point that the lender believes it to be at risk to never be paid. For banks and lending institutions, hedging for slow-loan losses is not a big problem as it is customary for them to set aside cash funds for that very purpose. The original provision of a slow loan’s regulatory definition was given by the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS).
