Social audit is the optional formal review of a company’s activities that are geared towards social responsibility. It basis its review on the charitable giving record of the company, any volunteer activities, transparency, worker pay, work ambiance, energy use and many more. Companies have the say to take on a social audit and whether to publish the results or not.
