SPREADLOCK
Spreadlock is the locking of agreement in a particular predetermined spread for future interest rate swap. It is a credit derivative which investors may use to lock a current spread that is between an underlying government yield and a swap. The investor can then transfer basis points forward when the swap is entered into. The spreadlock can either be an option or a forward contract.
