Squeeze may be defined in two ways. First, in the field of finance, it refers to the time period where difficulty in borrowing is experienced. Second, in the field of general business, it is a time period where cost hikes may not be applied to consumers as the profit decline comes from a ‘squeeze’ on profit margin.
