STABLE VALUE FUND
Stable value fund is an investment vehicle. It is originally seen only in company retirement plans however, recently, it has been offered in IRA accounts. The stable value fund consists mostly of funds with inherent stability such as synthetic GIC’s or wrapped bonds that ensures a specific minimum return as these bonds have the tendency to be short or intermediate paired with long maturities compared to other options. The bonds are wrapped with insurance contracts.
