STIMULUS PACKAGE
Set of economic measures created by the government in order to uplift a stumbling economy. The package seeks to revitalize the economy, and halt or reverse a recession by bolstering employment and spending. The theory behind this package is stemmed in Keynesian economics, which stipulates the impact of a recession can be reduced by increasing government spending.
