STOP ORDER
Market order to purchase or sell a security once its price has reached a certain point in order to ensure a greater probability of attaining a predefined entry or exit price, limiting the investor’s loss, or securing his profit. The stop order becomes a market order after surpassing the predetermined entry or exit point. Also called stop or stop-loss order.
