Investment approach used by a mutual fund manager in selecting the securities for the fund’s portfolio. There are nine basic investing styles, both equity and fixed-income funds. For bonds, styles vary depending on its maturity and credit quality. For stocks, it differs according to the company size, as well as its value and growth characteristics.
